Long before the oral microbiome became mainstream, Ortek pioneered arginine bicarbonate/calcium carbonate technology—a novel approach that supports beneficial oral bacteria while naturally strengthening enamel. Today, this technology is available to consumers through BasicBites, our sugar-free soft chews that deliver microbiome-friendly oral care in a convenient daily format.

Our innovations have earned the confidence of a Fortune 500 oral care leader, which successfully brought our next-generation toothpaste technology to consumers in markets worldwide.

We also developed and clinically tested the Ortek-ECD (Electronic Cavity Detection System), an advanced diagnostic device that received FDA clearance for the early detection of occlusal cavities. In clinical studies, the Ortek-ECD demonstrated significant advantages over traditional methods—including visual exams and X-rays—giving dental professionals greater confidence in identifying early decay when treatment is least invasive and most effective.
